[Zotero 6] Help with setting up (annotation) to (note) to (markdown file) workflow?

I know that there are multiple plugins that interact with this workflow. I keep running into dead ends and I'm not sure which parts are possible and which are not.

Details
I have many scanned files in Zotero with annotations using the "select area" tool.

I want to:
* extract all annotations to their own individual note
* use a template to automatically format the note with metadata from the parent item
* create a markdown file of the note outside of zotero
* sync changes between the note and the markdown file

The best option for syncing changes between a markdown file and a note is Zotero Betternotes plugin. There is a template editor which allows for the tweaking of exported metadata in the markdown file in the format of YAML header. There is also an option to decide the name of markdown file.

I think regular extraction of annotations in combination with ZBN export is the way to go, since embedding metadata in Zotero's native notes as YAML header is not done by any tool. You can create your desired metadata via template editor of ZBN and use exported markdown file directly in Obsidian.
