Which PDF readers does ZotFile support to export annotations?

The Zotfile plugin does not export annotations (it used to *extract* annotations into a Zotero note that had been added to a PDF with an external viewer; but that was prior to Zotero v6 when the internal PDF reader was added).
Zotero can export annotations to the PDF file, which should be visible in any external PDF viewer (annotations also remain viewable in the Zotero reader, but now locked).
