Adding new pages and references at beginning of document already written??
Hello dear Zotero community !
I am a PhD student, currently writing my thesis, and also a new user of Zotero, which I find wonderful.
One point is troubling me however, is that I am writing the whole of my PhD (which should be about 500 pages long) from part 1 to part 4, and *then only* will I write my general introduction (in a few months time). My question is = will my end notes automatically update themselves ??
That is to say, since I am using the Chicago Manual Style, my 1st reference to a work appears with name of author + title (+ editor + date publication ...) + page number. BUT the second, third & following references appear as only author + short title + page.
==> Will that automatically happen if I had the pages of my introduction *after* having written my whole PhD ??
If I could avoid having to adit ALL of my footnotes on 500 pages I would be most grateful...
THANK YOU for your answer !

adamsmithYes, that will automatically happen, though it may take some time (don't leave this for the last minute/hour...) and may require you to hit the "Refresh" button in the Word add-on. Also, it will _not_ work if you've manually edited the citation in Word directly (as opposed to using prefix/suffix and page/locator field in the WOrd add-on, which is fine).
