Optional snapshot

I normally use the Zotero connector for getting open-source PDFs. I highly dislike snapshots in journal article pages and therefore I turned them off.

Is there a way to force a snapshot in the case of a web page? for example DrugBank, ChemSpider or a product information page?

or could Zotero connector just create an item with the link and the reference for that page?

    The Snapshot setting in the preferences would mostly not affect Journal articles anyway, so you can enable that and it'll add snapshots for webpages.
    For webpages specifically, there's also an option to save with/without Snapshot in the right-click menu on the "Save to Zotero" button in your browser.
