Zotero Annotation Features

Zotero is very close to stealing me from Mendeley. With every new PDF viewer and annotation tool added I find myself even more tempted to switch. However, there are a few things I feel that its missing that I appreciate enough with Mendeley to keep me there. I wonder what people think of them.

I really want to be able to see the annotations from the library. Like in Mendeley, I would love to be able to click on an article/reference and be able to scroll through my annotations without having to enter into the pdf viewer.

And following from this - to simply be able to scroll down in the annotations that are too long to see in their entirety, rather than having to click into them.

Finally, I love being able to view my annotations/sticky notes in the pdf when I click on them, rather than the annotations only being visible in the side bar. I wish Zotero had this.

These features are gold for completing uni assignments, especially essays, and determing which sources to use. Maybe these are trivial and all I need to do is commit for a while. Anyway, I'm loving all the latest updates to the PDF viewer and in terms of tools available, you are absolutely dominating!

You'll be able to in a future version.

We'll be providing a way to expand all annotations in a future version.

That's how it works when the sidebar is closed.
