The problem with numbering in the bibliography in Microsoft Word

Hello everyone, working on my research paper and using Zotero. When I put all the citations in my Word document, I noticed that there were duplicates in my bibliography at the end of the research paper. I went to the Zotero program and noticed that I have 3 duplicates, maybe this is because I periodically export my bibliography, and when I continue to work on a scientific paper, I import it. I combined all duplicates and updated the bibliography in a Word document. But now the numbering in it is either repeated even though the publications are different, or there are gaps in the numbering. I don't know what to do anymore. Help who knows?

Will it come to delete all the bibliography and citations and start all over again? Maybe I didn't integrate the bibliography into the Word document correctly. I first added the first citation, and then added the entire bibliography to the end of the work and gradually added citations to the text. I added the entire bibliography because not all publications should be cited in the work
  • See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/citations_not_updating

You will have to manually reinsert those citations which are unlinked. Your workflow of exporting and importing the items unlinks them from items cited in Word, so you should not do that.
  • Thanks, I read the article. I was able to solve my problem by completely removing the bibliography from the document and then adding it again, all the publications cited in the text were added, and then I added the other publications from the Zotero library. After that, after checking, I realized that everything was allegedly repaired.
However, I want to work with Zotero from two different computers, and for some reason, the synchronization does not work, so I tried to export and import
