I suggest to make some fields that currently do not support autocomplete feature (in the item edit form) configurable parameters of config file, allowing to customize their behaviour. One of them is the "extra" field, which is for example intended to be used for archive material. It is frustrating to digit the full pair of label and value every time a new entry is inserted or edited (e.g. "Archive Place: bla bla bla").

dstillmanIt doesn't make sense to have autocomplete on fields that could have wildly heterogeneous data. Extra isn't "intended to be used for archive material" — it's a generic text field that can be used in all sorts of different ways, but often contains multiple lines of key/value pairs. We wouldn't add autocomplete for that.
