Can't Edit Citation in Tables

While doing a literature review, I'm using a table to summarise findings from different previous research. I noticed that when I insert citations in a table column, I can't edit it if I want to include more citations. It keeps saying: "Selected field null not returned from Docs backend"

I'm using Google Docs.
