How to add tag while PDF is open

Is there a way to add a tag to an item, when I have the corresponding PDF open? Specifically in the iOS app (iPhone or iPad). It seems the only way is to close the PDF, then search the library for the corresponding item, and then add the tag.

It would be nice to be able to add a tag without having to close the PDF first.
