Bibliography disappears when I save my document as pdf

I just finished my thesis in a word document and saved it in a pdf ready to submit. Once the pdf is created the bibliography on my word document and the new pdf disappears leaving only an "8". Any idea of what could be happening? Thanks!

    That's weird, but try making a copy of the Word doc, unlink citations (Zotero Word add-on), then try creating the PDF again. How are you creating the PDF exactly?
