Zotero 7 Beta: Manipulating text annotations in the PDF Viewer
When I put the mouse on the dots around the box of a text annotation in the Zotero PDF Viewer, I get the 2-directions arrow to resize the text annotation.
1) However, when I put the mouse on the top dot, it shows a 4-directions arrow, giving the impression that the text annotation can be moved around. But that dot is for rotating, so I was expecting to get an arrow in a circle shape.
2) If I rotate the text box, putting the mouse over the dots around the box of the text annotation displays a 4-directions arrow instead of the 2-directions arrow. I would have expected a rotated 2-directions arrow to explain in which direction it will be resized.
3) If I move the right-hand side dot over the left-hand side dot, the action is forbidden and cancelled. But, if I move the left-hand side dot over the right-hand side dot, the whole text annotation jumps to a new location, using the moved left-hand side as the new left side position. I would have expected a simple cancelling of the action, therefore keeping the annotation in the same position.
4) Moving one corner over the other one makes the text disappear.

2) For a non-orthogonal box this is a common practice to do, but for orthogonal text we'll plan to use a proper 2-directions arrow.
3) We'll fix.
4) We'll fix.
Thanks for suggestions!
I have tested a few different softwares on Windows and some on Ubuntu: Word, Libre Office, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Inkscape, Paint, ... For all of them, the 4-directions arrow always means to grab and move around. Resizing is always done with a 2-directions arrow. I don't remember seeing a 4-directions arrow used for resizing.
