Data back up

Hi , I was wondering how data stored in the web library are secured ? Is is stored in the cloud, with back up in case of server crash ?
Any possibility to restore storage at a given time point, in case of accidental data deletion ?
Thanks for your answers !
  • Zotero won't provide you with details about their back-ups, but you can assume that they have them, yes. They are not generally able to restore data in individual accounts. You should (as for all important data), keep your own backups.

Also, while it is possible to use the web version of Zotero only, it is always recommended that people primarily use the desktop version. Amongst the many advantages of the desktop version is that several recent backups are stored locally on your computer, and that you are able to - and should - also do your own backups. So the desktop version is more secure against accidental deletion of items by the user.
