Items lost, but still in the storage folder

Hi!

I edited a lot of stuff in Zotero a few hours ago. Then when i opened zotero again, the whole library is at an old state without my changes.
Maybe it has something to do with my file synchronization (syncthing).

I already tried using a backup file (zotero.sqlite.bak) but that was an even older file.

But my changes are still in the storage folder, they just don't show up (also not in "Unfiled Items"). Is there a way to update the view based on the storage files??

    The files in 'storage' are just your attachment files, not your library data.

    This was almost certainly caused by your syncing setup. That's equivalent to having your data directory in a cloud storage folder, which you absolutely shouldn't do.

    Ok, i have now deleted everything in the storage folder, deleted all items and started all over with importing. But these attachment still keep appearing in my storage folder if I sync (with zotero sync), although they're nowhere used anymore. How can get rid of them completely?

    Files created in 'storage' are attachments for items in your library. They could be in the trash or in group libraries.
