I watch the sqlite file, I find that the tagID's num is not continuous. Maybe it is because I delete some items, and the items' tag is also delete. But the counter keeps going up. If enough documents are added, will overflow errors occur? Will it provide functionality similar to rebuilding databases (in Settings-> Advanced-> Search), rearranging these sequences from 1?

It is _very_ bad practice to directly access and edit Zotero database files outside of Zotero. Permanent damage is likely to occur.

I think they're just looking at it -- there's no reason to be concerned with internal database identifiers, though. They and the database will be fine (and no, you can't rebuild them, that'd cause all sorts of mayhem during sync)
