Legislation not citing properly

Hi - When I enter legislation info into doc type "statute", I am only getting the title name and year, which isn't in parens. For example: entering (Name) The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004, (Code Number) 20 (Code) USC (Section)1400 enacted on (Date Enacted) December 3, 2004, results in "The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (italicized). 2004." Is there a fix or should I just do my legal citations manually?
  • Sorry, the biblio result also includes the number entered as the Code Number as the "Vol#" between the statute's name and year.
  • Which citation styles? Generally legal citations are not super well support-able in Zotero and not covered at all by most citation styles, so if you only have a handful, I'd do them by hand.
  • Thanks for your answer. I am using AMA. I had read about Juris-M and Zotero's limitations, but it looked from the write-up that it could handle my needs. I was resigning myself to doing them by hand but thought I would just make sure there wasn't something I could change to make it work. Thank you anyway.
  • Yeah, I don't believe anyone ever made any effort to implement legal citations in AMA. Could certainly improved (the code we use in Chicago Manual and APA is pretty plugable), but would have to be done by someone, of course.
  • Those of us in public health policy would be ever-grateful. :)
