Zotero 7, the draw function has a bug

when selected the draw, starting to wirte, the handwriting is joined together. when click the mouse, the handwriting will disapear. i hope it would get improvement. just like the ipad zotero can write. we write by digit board in the computer. besides, using the digit board to draw in zotero, the pdf will move by the pen.
  • Could you make a video demonstrating the issue and write down the steps you are taking in the video?
  • 1) Open a PDF file in the Zotero PDF Viewer
    2) Click on the drawing button in the Toolbar
    3) Draw, the lines become successive
--> Until click the mouse, the lines will disapear.

i don't know how to upload the video, could I connect with you by e-mail?
    1062791477@qq.com is my e-mail address
  • different. i draw the lines in the zotero viewer, the handwriting cannote be a normal handwriting note, because the lines are successive, can't be save when finished.

Yes, sorry, I can reproduce also.
The click starts the line. But the unclick does not stop it.
The line continues to move even though I did not hold the click.
The next click deletes all the previous drawing, and starts again as above.

Here is the screen recording with all plugins disabled.
I am using OBS Studio with the input-overlay plugin to show the mouse clicks on the left.
  • Ok, this is a regression and it will be fixed in the next update.
  • You can now update to the new beta with the fix.
