Dashed lines under references after unlinking citations

My document continues to show some citations underlined with dashes despite my having generated a reference list and unlinked the citations. I'm ready to publish but I can't get rid of the dashed lines. How do I make these go away?

That could happen if you manually edited citations in the document (which you pretty much never want to do — you want to fix data in Zotero or customize citations properly) while they had the dashed underlines, and then chose to keep your edits when prompted. Zotero should really finalize the citations at that point and remove the underlines, but it doesn't currently.

I don't remember the specifics, but you should be able to remove the underlines using Word's formatting tools — I believe it's standard Word formatting.

Thanks for your help. I fixed it by selecting the whole doc, going to 'font' and selecting 'none' for underline style. The dashed lines disappeared. Hooray!
