Upgrade StorageImport by Drag and Drop to Dock Icon?

I migrated from Mendeley to Zotero 6 (Mac OS 14.1.1)
One thing I appreciated about the Mendeley workflow was the ability to drag and drop files to Mendeley through the dock icon. I don't seem to be able to do this in Z6 (will it be in Z7?). So I was wondering if there is a workaround (perhaps a plugin that allows this?).
Importing through drag and drop to Z6 has presented challenges. Sometimes PDFs are added as child files to preexisting references rather than creating new standalone ones. Sometimes the import a new file approach says the PDFs are not supported. The smoothest approach has been the add "store copy of file" method noted in the documentation but I was curious of others have alternative importing workflows.

That said, drag&drop should work without issues. You can drag to collections (or My Library/Groups) on the left and would definitely not attach files to existing items that way and it's identical to store copy... in terms of what it does.
