Upgrade StorageWorkflow recommendation manual PDF adding
Use case:
- lots of local PDF files without metadata in folders
- folders will grow as new PDFs (also assume no metadata) are stored
I have been adding PDFs by using "import folder" addon however this has been a trap since the folder I am importing is growing in PDFs and using this function repeatedly will create duplicates. Same duplication will happen if I insert them manually.
There must be a clever way to handle this that I am just not seeing - preferrably without having to maintain a separate list "imported to zotero (yes/no)".
Oh as a side note: I have been reading in the docu that one should use the browser and extension to add files. However this does not seem to work on local files since they wont have https:// as url but file:///C:/, is that correct?
