Zotero Connector icon & NVDA software

Hi Guys,

I've been assisting a student with severe visual impairment in using Zotero as a reference management tool. Long story short, we set-up Zotero Connector in the Google Chrome browser and it could not be detected (e.g., tabbing did not find the Connector add-in). Is this a known issue or are there any workarounds? Any other info on Zotero use with VI students would be enormously appreciated! Cheers Guys! :-)

Extension buttons are a bit awkward to reach by keyboard in Chrome in general -- see this extended discussion
The solutions suggested there -- use either alt or F10 to focus to Chrome menu (the three dot menu for those whom that helps) and then get to the extension buttons using either shift+tab or left arrow works for me.

Edit: also, the extension button does have a default keyboard shortcut (ctrl+shift+s on Windows) and you can customize that shortcut in Chrome under Extensions -- Keyboard Options (again in the Chrome Menu).
