Unlimited storage but getting storage limit error

I have a Zotero account with my company where we have unlimited storage and group libraries. I made a separate account to store personal files but recently moved them all over to My Library on my company account but now I'm getting sync issues and errors. It is saying my storage is only 300 MB and my group libraries are no longer syncing.

This is one of the errors I got: 1680361649

Any ideas on how to fix this? I tried logging out and back in but didn't work.

The account you're posting from isn't associated with any institutional plan, so you have a 300 MB quota and are hitting that for your personal library.

The owner of the group libraries you're a member of has an individual unlimited plan, so storage in those groups is unlimited. You would continue to be able to upload files to those groups even if you're at your quota for your personal library.
[JavaScript Error: "Group with libraryID 1 does not exist" {file: "chrome://zotero/content/xpcom/data/groups.js" line: 108}]"
You're getting one other error that's not related to storage. I'd guess that just restarting Zotero will fix that.
  • Hi, thanks for clarifying regarding the storage.

I have Zotero installed on 2 separate user profiles on my Mac, both are logged into this same account. However, I'm only getting storage and sync issues on one user profile.

My group libraries won't sync on that profile and the only error showing up now is "You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server." I added new files to the group libraries in Zotero on the other user profile to test and they uploaded and synced fine.

I tried restarting Zotero multiple times, unlinking my account, and restarting my computer.

That message has nothing to do with group libraries. It's exactly what I say — you're at your personal storage quota. You can add an individual storage plan, delete attachments in your personal library and empty the trash, or disable file syncing for My Library from the Sync preferences and just use file syncing for group libraries. You would be getting this on a computer where you've actually added additional files to your personal library. If you haven't added additional files on another computer, that computer wouldn't be trying to upload files and you wouldn't get the error.

Regardless, files should continue to be uploaded to the group even though you're at your personal storage quota.
