How to quick-preview web-page snapshots?

Most of the items in my Zotero collections are web-pages, which I save using Zotero Connector. After saving, an item gets a snapshot associated with it which is an offline copy of the webpage. Everything works great, and I can double-click the snapshot to open it in the browser.

I am missing the last bit of convenience: previewing the snapshots inside Zotero itself. Basically, what "PDF Preview" does but for snapshots: having a panel which immediately renders the snapshot when I select an item from the library. The ideal flow would be: press down-arrow to "page" through items in the collection and see a snapshot-preview in the side-panel.

"Zotero QuickLook" is pretty close but I need to make extra steps: press space to enter/exit quickview, in addition to paging through the items.
  • Zotero 7, currently in beta, opens snapshots in the built-in reader (and allows annotation of them).

There's currently no built-in preview functionality like the PDF Preview plugin, but if we add that, we'd add it for all supported file types (PDFs, EPUBs, and snapshots).
  • Thank you! With Zotero 7 and snapshot opening in built-in reader it's already an improvement. Annotations for snapshots are awesome!

Makes sense for the preview functionality. "PDF Preview" 1.0.0-4 works well with Zotero 7 btw.

Please share if built-in preview is on the roadmap. If not, it will be worth updating "PDF Preview" to include snapshots too.
