Syncing a public library

Hi, there is a wonderful public library here:
https://www.zotero.org/ebresearch/library

Is there a way I can sync this with my local client rather than just viewing online?
  • Just bumping this to see if anyone has any thoughts...
Although I'm guessing the lack of response means this may not be possible.
  • Are you asking if you can subscribe to the library and have new items automatically added to your own library?

It is a public group. Thus, you can click to add it to your collection of groups.

Even with iPad app you can select any item from ebresearch and add it to any collection within your own library.

    Do you want something else?

  • We're planning to add the ability to subscribe/follow a public group without needing to join it (which would allow the group to still allow normal members to edit items), but no ETA.
  • Thanks.
Yes I wanted to have this library show up under "Group Libraries" in the zotero app, but it sounds like that is not yet possible.
    Thank you for clarifying.

Actually, sorry, this was a misunderstanding. This isn't actually a group library — it's a personal library that was made public. There's no way to add such a library to Zotero.

If this actually were a public group library, you would be able to add it locally by joining the group, as we said above. The plans for being able to "follow" a group would just avoid the need to join. I suppose that option could be possible for public personal libraries too.

One confusing thing currently is that it's not currently easy to get back to the group detail page — where you can see information on the group and also join it if that's allowed — from the web library. (The easiest way right now is to remove /library from the URL.) We'll look into making that easier.
