Word AddIn does not show up - "disabled by policy"

Hey there,

my word add-in stopped showing up as a tile, so I can't use it in word anymore. It did show up and was working perfectly the first about 6 weeks after installatin befor this happend. After Turning on "show add-in user interface errors" I get the following Error-Message: "Custom UI Error - The custom UI associated with this document has been disabled by policy". as I am using my a business-laptop I am in close exchange with the companys IT-Support but we could not solve the issue so far.
If anybody has any ideas what I can do or what the IT-admins of my Compny ned to do in order to resolve this issue, please let me know.
I am Using Zotero 6.3.30, Word 365 for enterprise and Windows 11.

For troubelshooting I already follwed the commen steps found on the support website.

Those are the things I tried (and the Companies IT-Supporttried again) so far anyways:
-I reinstalled the microsoft word add-in in the zotero preferences
- the Zotero Office integration is enabled ( I tried disable, restart, enable, restart as well)
- I tried reinstalling Zotero several times and saved it different locations
on my companys laptop it is usally installed in C:\Users\user.name\AppData\local as tehre is no admin rights needed. we also tried installing it with admin rights on C:\program files (x86), but did not solve the problem
-I tried copying the zotero.dotm file into the word STARTUP folder
-We also tried putting the zotero.dotm in the Microsoft templates folder as this is supposed to be a "Trusted location"
-In the fil -> word options -> add-ins the Zotero.dotm ist shown as an "active application add-In". adding it Manually through the "manage" option on the bottom also did not help.
-Add-Ins are not disabled in the trust center. Also all macros are enabled in the trust center. the " require application Add-Ins to be signed by Trusted Publisher" is also not checked.
- I tried installing the Zotero 7 Beta, but the error still occured.

I'm afraid that's something your IT department will need to figure out. This is clearly due to something they've blocked. It sounds like they've prevented templates from creating a toolbar in the ribbon. We don't really have any advice beyond that.
