Can't add authors or editors

Hi, I don't seem to be able to add multiple editors or authors to items.

Steps to reproduce it:
1. I start Zotero.
2. In My Library, I click on the item I want to edit.
3. I click the + button next to the author/editor and it only gives me the possibility to add one extra author, no matter which item it is.
4. The + button becomes light grey and I cannot click further on it.

What could cause this?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but do you actually type something into the field(s)? You can't click + before a new author/editor is actually added, i.e. you can't create "empty" creator cells.
Another thing to check is that you have enough space for the info pane -- have you maximized the Zotero app? Only the last + sign is clickable
