Feature Request: In-document search (3 facets)
Hello!
1) Within a text it would be nice to have a button in the search window to job to the first search result. Often if I'm searching for an acronym the first result will have the full text beside it, as is common practice for many (most? all?) publications. Often I'm at result n of x and having the option to jump straight to the first result would be nice. The current behaviour of moving to the nearest match is great, imo and I wouldn't change that.
2) When jumping between search results, if 2 or more responses are near to each other (say, <1 page-length apart, or some other unit of measure) it would be nice if the document could scroll smoothly to the next match instead of jumping. A less visually jarring shift would help me get more out of search, since the highlighting of matched terms is a nice visual aid in skimming through a document - but jarring jumps "reset" my position and result in having to re-read and re-anchor myself.
3) Finally, it would be nice to be able to highlight some arbitrarily small amount of text (length(string) < x) first, and then press the shortcut key triggering search, to search for the highlighted text. This might cause conflicts with other behaviour so it may not be practical/possible.
Thank you for your time,
Eli
