Selected row/folder is not shown

The blue (was it blue or gray?) background that is expected when one selects an entry or a folder is not displayed. In the image below the first entry is selected but nothing is shown. Same thing happens with folders in the left tree view

    Disable all third-party plugins.

    I only had the LibreOffice plugin enabled as far as I can tell (which comes enabled by default). Nothing changed after disabling & restarting.

    You're on Linux, right? How do yo have Zotero installed? Reminder that anything other than running straight from the extracted tarball or retorquere's .deb isn't supported here.

    What distro? Has it worked before on this computer? We haven’t changed anything related to this.

    It's elementary OS 7.1 Horus (based on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS). I installed this system a few months ago and I believe this never worked properly

    I get this warning with the zotero-deb install, could this be related?:

    You can try the Zotero 7 beta.

    Thank you, the beta version appears to have fixed both issues. I did have to change the Exec command in the .desktop file to make it launch, from:

    Exec=bash -c "$(dirname $(realpath $(echo %k | sed -e 's/^file:\\/\\///')))/zotero -url %U"

    to:

    Exec=bash -c "/opt/Zotero/zotero -url %U"
