citation problem

Hi I can add to my library but cannot generate the citation tool .When I click on Zotero it just opens the library ? I used to be able to get a box that said add citation and would type the first couple of letters and it would come up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Zotero and the Zotero connector and restarted computer.

If you mean that you're seeing a window that shows the library (but not the actual main Zotero window), you might have turned on the "classic" citation dialog from the Cite pane of the Zotero settings.

Hi I have unclicked classic citation and restarted but it still opens in library.Zotero is in the start menu and appears as an icon on the bar at the bottom and on the home screen but whatever I try it opens into library ? Without the ability to add citation?

I presume its the connector which can save to the web but not the Zotero on computer .Is bit defender a problem?

Which word processor are you in? I'm a bit confused by some of the things you write.

I am in word ,the zotero extension can not see Zotero I think

Restart Zotero and try again, and check to make sure the citation dialog isn't just appearing behind your main Zotero window.

If you're still having trouble, restart Zotero again and provide a Debug ID for triggering Add/Edit Citation and not seeing the citation dialog.
