Zotero 7 Beta: Text field in Zotero Reader needs opaque, darker colors to be readable

The colors available for adding text to a PDF are too pale for easy reading. The three colors I have always considered essential for adding text to a document are 100% opaque black, navy blue, and deep red, with dark green as a close alternate. Those are the pens, you always have, when you're an editor or teacher and are marking up a draft. Black, to me, is the absolute essential color, and it's not there. The red, green, and blue in the text tool in the Reader are too pale. The gray and yellow are barely readable by older eyes as text on a white background. Is it possible to get a reader-friendly palette for the text box tool? Thanks!
  • the current color palette is just the one available for highlights. I assume that will change (the feature isn't finished as I understand) -- I agree the colors make little sense for writing.
  • Black will be added soon. And we might need to adjust other color intensity when rendering specific annotation types like text or ink.
  • That's good to hear. Thank you!
