[Z7 Beta] Annotation tag pop-up opens on wrong screen

I'm using the current beta on Kubuntu 23.10 with Plasma 5.27.8. I have two screens arranged vertically.

When I have Zotero open on the upper screen and click on "add tag" in the annotation pane, the pop-up opens in the top left corner of the lower screen (see the screenshot here: https://i.imgur.com/0NYTVqN.png - the black bar is the upper edge of the lower screen). This makes it a bit harder to add tags to annotations.

I'm happy to provide more information if any is needed.
  • Do you see the same issue if you try to add a tag for a note item in the library tab (it uses the same popup)?
  • No, those open where they're supposed to.
  • I've trying to observe the problem a bit more carefully now and think it only occurs when adding an annotation to the last annotation in a pdf - for the first of two or more annotations the pop-up opens in the right position.
  • @samvimes So, perhaps, it opens in another screen if there isn't enough space?
  • I've played around a bit more and guess my theory about it being the last annotation is wrong. However the pop-up also opens on the second screen if there's more than enough space on the primary screen (see https://i.imgur.com/MxHApy8.png - the active annotation is the one for which I tried to add a tag)
  • One of the last updates has changed the behaviour a bit (but not fixed it); I still have two screens, screen 1 is above screen 2. When Zotero is open on screen 1, clicking on an annotation in the lower half of the annotation pane opens the pop-up in the top left corner of screen 2. After then clicking on the plus symbol to add a tag, the pop-up suddenly moves to the bottom left corner of screen 2 and ends up there:
