Add number to collection tree

Is it possible to add a number to each branch of my library to show how many references are in the current branch and subdirectory? Although I found a plug-in that can achieve this function, it seems that the compatibility is not very good.

Showing counts in the collections pane is an option in the iOS app but isn't currently available in the desktop app.

In case you're not aware, you can see the number of items in a given view in the right-hand pane after you click on the row.
