Upgrade StorageZotero 7 on Mac, and usage with word

I am considering switching to zotero 7. I might adapt my workflow to replace zotfile and zutilo as well.
I was wondering, for mac users (m2), is the performance benefit noticeable?
Moreover, did you see any changes in the performance with Microsoft word?
I love my mac, but for writing my thesis (230+ pages, 400+ references), word on mac is noticeably slower than on my windows machine (both have 16gb ram).

I installed zotero 7 alongside zotero 6, and I am very happy about the switch! Initially, the citation dialog wouldn't pop up when triggering it from word, but after waiting, trying to restart several times, and reloading things (both word and zotero), it finally and magically worked. I also noticed that the lag I was experiencing while working on my thesis word document completely disappeared. I do not know whether it is just a coincidence or not, but I am very happy about this. Overal, zotero 7 seems much smoother/snappier than zot 6.
NB: I installed the zotmoov plugin to get some of the old features of zotfile back.
