Zotero displays the message “An error has occurred. Please restart Zotero.” in the middle pane.

When I want to put a new citation in the word of google docs, Zotero tells me it has to be restarted because there is a problem. After to restart the document and the application, Zotero tells me the same and I can not put any citation.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start Zotero and open my google doc.
2. In the google doc click in the button “Zotero”, then click on “Add/edit citation”
3. Click on blank space to write the title of citation
4. the citation is charging
5. Then appears the message: “Zotero experimented a wrong when it try to refresh your document ¿Would you like to see the instructions to resolve problems?”
6. I follow every instruction, however none of the instructions can resolve the problem.

  • Can you provide a Debug ID for Zotero startup through reproducing the "Please restart Zotero" error, using the "Restart with Logging Enabled…" option?
