Report ID: 1795038268
When I click on the Style editor in Preferences, it shows an Error: File is not valid XML
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Zotero.
2. Click on “Edit” -”Preferences” - ”References“ - ”one of the titles“-”Style Editor“
3. Blank page appears
4. Click on ”refresh“
5. Error: File is not valid XML
I would like to find the code of the journal reference to make changes, but the Style Editor is not working.

dstillmanIt works in general. Disable your plugins, and if you're still having trouble reset your styles from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences.
-
karma1.It still doesn't work
-
adamsmithWhat happens when you change the citation style at the top (e.g., to IEEE)?
-
karma1.No matter what citation style I change it's always blank

adamsmithIf you're positive you've done both of the things dstillman says above -- i.e. disabled all 3rd party add-ons and reset styles, you could try literally deleting the styles folder in Zotero's data directory before resetting styles. We've not seen this for a long time, but very occasionally that folder becomes so corrupted that somehow reset doesn't fix it.
