Switching between two separate databases

Changing between two separate databases was straight forward in version 1.0. One simply changed to the respective folder, restarted zotero and everything was fine.

However, with Version 2.0rc2, when the database folder is changed and Firefox restarted, zotero selects the standard Firefox folder instead of the "new database" folder. So another, unnecessary restart of Firefox is necessary before the change between databases is complete.

PS Because I am a German user my translations might not be 100% accurate - sorry.

    let me see that I understand correctly.
    You're in Zotero using a database in
    /home/..../homedatabase

    now you go to preferences, advanced, switch that to
    /home/..../workdatabase
    restart firefox
    and now Zotero is trying to use the default location in firefox/extensions/../Zotero ?

    That would seem like a bug.

    Yes, this is how Zotero operates. However, Zotero is not only "trying to use the default location" it is actually using the default database when trying to switch between two "other" databases.
