Zotero 6.0.27 stuck on "loading items"

When I load Zotero it continually displays "loading items" and "loading tags".

I have run the database repair tool. I removed the prefs.js and neither worked. I loaded Zotero with debugging enabled. The report was submitted under D552295717.

Any ideas?

    How long have you waited? It looks like you have a pretty large library (or there's something very wrong with the performance you're seeing), and it may need to do some work at startup.

    Hi, I have left it attempting to load for over 30 minutes a number of times - no joy. I do have a large library and Zotero stopped loading last week. I do regularly remove unnecessary references. It had been working fine until last week.

    I just had another error report get generated (59079121) while trying to load Zotero

    You should let it go overnight. There were no errors in the debug output you provided — it was just still loading data in your library. It obviously shouldn't take that long, but there could be some bug or something about the library that's resulting in an extremely long load time.

    You can also try the 64-bit version of the Zotero 7 beta, which should work better with a very large library.
