JavaScript Error: "The connection was refused..."
Hello,
My Zotero desktop app has been having trouble syncing, and the Zotero Connector never recognizes that the Zotero app is running. The app fails to sync every time it tries, and it also cannot find any information when I try to add an item by DOI. I've looked through a lot of the troubleshooting pages, and I haven't found a solution yet.

I keep getting this error, which comes up over and over:
[JavaScript Error: "The connection was refused when attempting to contact wss://stream.zotero.org/."]
[JavaScript Error: "WebSocket connection closed: 1006 "]
[JavaScript Error: "Request timed out"]
version => 6.0.27, platform => Win32, oscpu => Windows NT 10.0; WOW64, locale => en-US, appName => Zotero, appVersion => 6.0.27, extensions => Zotero LibreOffice Integration (6.0.4.SA.6.0.27, extension), Zotero Word for Windows Integration (6.0.3.SA.6.0.27, extension)

dstillmanSee Connection Error and Zotero Connector: βIs Zotero Running?β. I'd guess that it's the same cause β security software or proxy settings on your computer that's blocking all connections. You'll need to go through those support articles and troubleshoot this on your system β this isn't a problem in Zotero itself.
