How could zotero show the number of papers in the library, like endnote does

How could Zotero show the number of papers in the library, as Endnote does, it is very important and direct for users to know.

    You can see the total number of items in the right-hand pane after clicking on the library root (with no items selected) or by doing Select All.

    Sure, I know how to get the numbers, but the method is so indirect and inconvenient, isn't it? Why not learning the strengths of other apps?

    Indirect and inconvenient? You literally just click on My Library.

    We might add counters next to collections at some point as an option for people who want them — as they are on iOS — but the idea that the count is hard or slow to find is absurd, and counters are just UI clutter for people who don’t care about the numbers.
