can not drag pdf to zotero panel --linux

Hi. Sorry for cross-posting, but I'm trying (hard) to import my pdf files into zotero by drag and drop from the file directory to the zotero panel. Each time when I move the file to the panel, the little symbol (like smal text page with an arrow in the top left corner) returns to the directory. Nothing is imported. Nothing happens. Command-line pdftotext and pdfinfo on any pdf file works fine.

I've checked the version of Xpdf tools from zotero (they are up to date) and even re-install xpdf tools. I'm running zotero 2.0b7.6 on Firefox 3.0.17 and using Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty i386

Any suggestions?

there was some talk that FF 3.5+ might enable Zotero to fix this. So it's not going to happen on your set up, but might in the future on an upgraded FF.
