Copied citation does not match the style preview

Hi!

I am trying to use APA 7th ed., but when I use the 'Copy Bibliography' function, the copied citation is different (wrong) from the one I see in the Style preview window.

For example:

In Style preview:

Korolev, A. (2016). Systemic Balancing and Regional Hedging: China–Russia Relations. The Chinese Journal of International Politics, 9(4), 375–397. https://doi.org/10.1093/cjip/pow013

Once copied on my Word doc using the 'Copy Bibliography' function:
Korolev, A. (2016). Systemic Balancing and Regional Hedging: China–Russia Relations. The Chinese Journal of International Politics, 9(4), 375–397. https://doi.org/10.1093/cjip/pow013

I have a similar issue with Chicago styles too. Could you please tell me how to fix this issue? Thank you!
  • Those are identical…?
  • Oh, my bad, copying it here must have reset the format and I did not notice.

When I view it the Style preview, this section is in Italic: ...The Chinese Journal of International Politics, 9(4),.., following the APA rules, but when I cope it onto my Word doc, it changes to non Italic, so it no longer complies.with the APA rules.
  • Solved it! I needed to set the pasting style in Word to 'Keep source formatting', so it was not an issue with Zotero itself. Tnx!
