Missing annotation toolbar (desktop version)

Hi - I recently downloaded desktop version of Zotero. When I open PDFs, the annotation bar (highlight/comment/etc.) is not there. No idea why and no helpful answers from google - please help, I need to highlight!

Can you take a screenshot of what you're looking at, upload it somewhere (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), and provide a link here?

Here there is not the annotation toolbar (for example I cannot highlight the sentences in the pdf), anybody can help to let us know how can we make it appear?

Most likely the PDF is in a trash or in a read-only group which means it can't be annotated. Zotero 7 beta just disables the toolbar instead of hiding it.
