Highlights only in blue now

Halfway through reading/highlighting the PDF I opened, all of the highlight colors came up as blue in the text. Even when I changed color options or closed out the software, the text would only continue to be highlighted as blue.

We've never seen anything like that.

If you right-click on a highlight, is Blue checked in the color popup?

Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), and provide a link here?

Yes, you're right. I figured out afterward that the blue was for pre-highlighting only.

What didn't make sense is why the first half of the document required me to choose the color first and then highlight the text which would immediately turn that color. Then without any provocation the highlighting mechanic changes to pre-highlighting, followed by picking your color afterward.

It's not a big deal now, it's just odd.

No, there are just two different highlighting modes:

You can use whichever one you prefer.
