deleted in-line citations not disappearing from bibliography
My team is testing Zotero functionality for group papers. We have a group library which is being used for the tests. When we add inline citations, the bibliography updates properly. But when an inline citation is deleted, the item does not disappear from the bibliography. Per documentation, deleting a citation should remove it from the bibliography. Deleting the bibliography and re-creating it does not solve the issue, nor does "refresh". Two of us have observed this behavior in both MS Word and Google docs. Is this a known behavior? How can we debug the situation? (A work around is not to create a bibliography until we are done writing, but that is somewhat unsatisfactory.)
That's also the behavior I'm seeing.
Are you saying that the behavior you're describing always and consistently occurs, or occasionally occurs? If the latter, it's possible for field codes to remain in the document after deleting citations. You can debug this by showing field codes in Word ( https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/word_field_codes ). But this is an unusual and rare issue, not something that'd frequently, let alone consistently, occur.
If you're seeing this consistently, it's possible you're hitting on a bug, but in that case -- given the lack of other reports of this -- I'd be more inclined to think there's some other misunderstanding here. Could you provide exact steps to reproduce the issue in a minimal document?
