Mac Word: Run time error '5'

    I am having the same problem -- word crashes every time I attempt to insert a citation. A visual basic window pops up says there is a "Run time error '5': invalid procedure call or argument". Same window pops up with any interaction with zotero in word, including things like 'document preferences' etc. This just started happening yesterday, and going back to 6.0.26 and uninstalling/reinstalling the word extension did not solve the problem (same problem occurs). Our IT department does not use crowdstrike or any other cloud-based security system.

    If the problem still occurs after reinstalling 6.0.26 and restarting the Word plugin, this is due to some other change on your system. 6.0.26 has been out for months. Make sure you’ve restarted Word after reinstalling the plugin.

    You should also try deleting Zotero.dotm from your Word Startup folder and restarting Word to make sure it’s gone completely before reinstalling the plugin from 6.0.26, to make sure you’re actually testing with that version of the plugin.

    @mike.ford: If you're still having trouble, try updating to Zotero 6.0.28.
