Add by identifier not working since update

Zotero updated on my Mac overnight and now the "add by identifier" function is not working. When I try from the desktop app, I get an "Lookup failed: Zotero could not find a record for the specified identifier. Please verify the identifier and try again." message. When I tried the online version, it appears to search for the journal article but then nothing happens. Please advise.
