Zotpress "undefined variable" error

I'm a longtime, very happy Zotpress user -- currently using version 7.3.5. Pages on my site(s) that pull in Zotero citations through Zotpress are now showing error messages like those below until I go into the ZotPress plugin's "synched Zotero accounts" tab in the WordPress dashboard and clear the Zotpress cache. (But then the errors come back the the next time I return to the page.) Previously, my Zotpress pages were working fine.

[ERROR MESSAGES SHOWING VISIBLY AT THE TOP OF A WEB PAGE:]

Warning: Undefined variable $tempItemDate in /home/alanyliu/center-humanities-communication.org/wp-content/plugins/zotpress/lib/shortcode/shortcode.request.php on line 993

Warning: Undefined variable $tempItemDate in /home/alanyliu/center-humanities-communication.org/wp-content/plugins/zotpress/lib/shortcode/shortcode.request.php on line 994

Is this a Zotpress 7.3.5 issue? Is there a fix?
