Upgrade StorageSafari extension problems
Hello,
I want to raise attention to a problem that I encountered. Right after I installed zotero including the safari plugin, some websites got laggy and very slow. The tip of the iceberg was youtube, straight up unusably slow and laggy. I know that it was the zotero plugin because I had the problems for weeks until I finally found the issue and uninstalled the plugin.
I can't tell you exactly what version it was because I was so angry that I deleted all of the files. But I installed zotero via homebrew around August 20th maybe that helps.
System: M1 Pro MacBook Pro
problem persisted form macOS 13.5.0 to 13.5.2 so probably not related to any OS updates.
Just wanted to share so I can prevent a headache for some or help fix the issue.

The only issue we're aware of is the plugin sometimes getting disabled by Safari after a Zotero app update, due to a bug in Safari, and that can cause the extension to be repeated reloaded by Safari. Fix is described here:
