"Zotero experienced an error updating your document." for Google Docs Plugin

Unable to edit or add new citations to a Google Document. Started after copying document with embedded Zotero citations multiple times for version control. Plugin still works fine in the original document.

    Restart your browser. If prompted to select a Google Account to use with Zotero, make sure you select an account that has permissions to edit that document.

    That was it! I had to manually add the Zotero email to the permissions on the doc. Thank you.
