Problem with indexing pdfs

  • salvadore: ... Your indexing failure, at least with the file you provided debug output for, was due to a Firefox limitation that prevents Zotero from indexing files with filenames containing extended characters. I've added some error logging for this to the latest dev build. The good news is that it looks like this will soon be fixed in the Mozilla codebase, though the fix probably won't be available until Firefox 3.7.
Any chance the titles for pdfs that are saved automatically from article dbs/Google Scholar can be formatted (shortened?) so they can be indexed on import? Renaming them manually works, but it should be easy to fix in Zotero so one would not have to rename and index 10-20 downloaded pdfs manually after each db-searching session.
  • How to install pdf-text.win32 for metadata indxing. I also want to know why does it not integrate will chrome. I wann to import reference from JStor, Science direct?
  • @salvadorlyngdoh, for the latter question see here.
