how to continue numbering references in word imported from endnote using zotero

Hi, I was working with Endnote, and after collecting 40 references to my document I switched to Zotero. All the references are already imported to Zotero, however when I am starting to use one, and I try to add new references with Zotero, It starts counting them from 1 (instead of 41). And they are not visible on the reference list.
Any ideas how to fix this?

    Sorry, unfortunately there's no alternative to re-inserting the Endnote-inserted references with Zotero.
